Financial support for trade fair exhibitors as of August 2021

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many trade fairs and exhibitions were cancelled. As a result, economic suffering has been caused worldwide.

For many companies, however, this is set to change with immediate effect. This is a big step back towards normality.

From 2 August 2021, small and medium-sized enterprises will receive financial support from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) to provide a grant programme for trade fair stand rental and stand construction costs. Each exhibitor can apply for a maximum of 12,500 euros per exhibition.

The list of eligible activities and the funding requirements can be found on the website of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control.
