Interactive trade fair experience: AVMS brings "Bring Your Own Device" to electra Freiburg
At this year’s trade fair electra trade fair in Freiburg, the main exhibitor Alexander Bürkle caused a stir not only with his products, but also with the way he presented them. AVMS used several interactive media players on the stand to make the information transfer interactive and contactless.
At a time when hygiene and digital networking are becoming increasingly important, classic touchscreens are not always the first choice. For our customer, the trade fair construction company Schendel & Pawlaczyk, we therefore implemented a concept in Freiburg that actively involves visitors without them having to touch the hardware.
The smartphone as a remote control - The interactive media player is hygienic and user-friendly.
Our interactive media player was used on several strategically placed information monitors. The highlight: it is controlled entirely via the visitor’s own smartphone (“Bring Your Own Device”).
This is how the solution works:
QR code scan: The interested party scans a QR code displayed on the monitor.
Navigation: The smartphone immediately turns into a remote control. The visitor navigates through the directories on the large monitor via an intuitive interface on the cell phone display.
Content selection: Specific topics can be selected and presentations can be started.
Digital take-away effect: Particularly practical for everyday trade fair use – visitors can download relevant files, brochures or data sheets directly to their smartphone or have them conveniently sent to them by e-mail.

With this installation, AVMS has shown how modern media technology can support dialog at the trade fair stand: safely, innovatively and sustainably, as less printed material has to be issued. The solution is also optionally available as an interactive map stand in portrait mode. This slimline version is ideal as a digital signpost or information pillar when only a small amount of floor space is available but a high level of information is still required. For a particularly impressive presentation, the application can also be used as a Interactive LED wall scale.
