Drive-in cinema with huge flying LED wall

AVMS installs a nearly 60m² video wall in Burgdorf to the delight of the moviegoers

On the Whitsun weekend, the city marketing Burgdorf invited to the drive-in cinema with a flying LED wall on the Schützenplatz. After the weeks of Corona restrictions, this was the first open-air event in Burgdorf in compliance with all hygiene regulations. Over four days, there was a family-friendly program with a total of 12 performances. Media partners are the HAZ/NP and the Marktspiegel. The Stadtsparkasse Burgdorf, the Stadtwerke Burgdorf GmbH, the VVV, the E-CENTER-CRAMER and the Neue Schauburg support the family event.

All films were presented on a 57.5 square meter LED wall made of INFiLED AR 3.9mm. The total of 115 modules result in a resolution of 2944 x 1280 pixels. This modern and particularly bright technology guarantees an excellent image quality that is clearly visible right to the back rows, even in the afternoon hours. The wall, which was raised to 10m above ground, provided a good viewing angle. A heavy-duty crane made it possible. For the experienced AVMS technicians, the erection up to the lifting with the crane was pure routine. Still, it was something special after the long break and a lot of fun.
