Large open air stage for sermons and concerts
The Bible in the spotlight of the faithful at the Katholikentag in Osnabrück
The 97th German Catholic Day took place from 21 to 25 May 2008, in the Lower Saxon city of Osnabrück, on a large open air stage.
It was held under the motto “You lead us out into the open” based on the 18th Psalm, verse 20 (Ps 18:20 EU) and had 60,000 participants. Originally the Katholikentag 2008 was to take place in Essen. The diocese of Essen, however, renounced to host the event.
The team from AVMS set up a large stage with trusses and lighting equipment. Camera trains and picture direction were used for the large-screen transmission. The captured images and the presentations of the speakers, were displayed on a stately LED wall.
