The Frankfurt Art Experience - We love art and culture.

The season opener of the Frankfurt galleries is one of the oldest Gallery Weekends in Germany and took place for the 26th time in 2020. Well over 50 galleries and art institutions jointly opened their new exhibitions – invited and organized by the Interessengemeinschaft der Galerien Frankfurt. Established positions and promising new discoveries attract collectors and art lovers from all over Germany and abroad to Frankfurt and its galleries every year. The Frankfurt Art Experience special exhibition “Time In Transition” also took place.

The Art Experience Walks are art tours through Frankfurt’s various neighborhoods and galleries. Experienced art mediators facilitate diverse discoveries in Frankfurt’s art scene with special insights into private collections, galleries and artists’ studios. Alternative collection and exhibition venues such as hotels and restaurants are also visited and presented.

At the Art Experience Talks, players and experts from the art world reflect on and discuss the situation on the national and international art market as well as the structural changes that are currently emerging. The final talk is dedicated to the strong presence of photography as a medium in Frankfurt and the unique selling point that the city can claim for itself. Further topics of the talks are the crisis resistance of the art market, the role of the digital, the interaction of artists, art academies and galleries as well as art collecting.

In addition to truss and lighting installations for exhibits, media technology in the form of monitors with media players, notebooks and tablets was used. We have also provided a suitable sound system. Several loudspeakers suspended in the rig provided clear, well-dosed sound during the many talks and panel discussions.

The event took place in compliance with current hygiene regulations. Access quotas, distance restrictions, mandatory masks and disinfection dispensers in all rooms ensured effective health protection.
