INFiLED ICE training at AVMS: Understanding LED technology from the ground up

On October 28 and 29, 2025, AVMS hosted an intensive INFiLED ICE training course dedicated entirely to teaching the basics of LED technology. The training was aimed at technicians, project managers and anyone who works with LED modules – whether in daily use or for complex trade fair and event productions. The aim was to create a deep understanding of the electrical, mechanical and control aspects of modern LED systems. The training was concluded with a test, which was rewarded with an official certificate upon successful completion.

Practical learning with INFiLED and Novastar

The two-day training course was held in collaboration with INFiLED and covered a wide range of topics. The focus was on the INFiLED LED modules themselves – their technical properties, the modular design and the requirements for installation and maintenance. The program was supplemented by an introduction to control with Novastar controllers, which are widely used in professional LED video technology.
The participants first received a sound introduction to the basics of electrical engineering: How does an LED work? What do I need to consider with regard to power supply, voltage and cabling? What safety aspects play a role? This basis is essential for recognizing sources of error and using the technology efficiently and safely.
The second part dealt with the mechanical structure of the modules. The training course explained how LED tiles are connected to each other, which tolerances and adjustments are necessary and how different module series – such as DB, X or MC – can be combined. The special features of the new 1.9 mm modules, which AVMS has had in stock since October 2025, were also discussed.
One highlight was the practical work with Novastar controllers. The participants learned how LED walls can be configured, which software tools are used and how color calibration, brightness and refresh rate can be optimally adjusted. Troubleshooting and typical error patterns were also discussed – valuable input for everyday event operations.

Knowledge that connects - technology, team and future

The INFiLED ICE training was not only a technical training course, but also an opportunity to exchange ideas within the AVMS team. Colleagues from different departments came together to learn together, ask questions and share experiences. The practical teaching and direct work on the modules ensured a high level of interactivity and understanding.
With the ICE training, AVMS is specifically strengthening its employees’ skills in dealing with LED technology – an area that is becoming increasingly important in the event industry. The investment in knowledge and further training is a clear sign of quality, safety and innovative strength.
Whether for trade fairs, corporate events or streaming productions: The LED systems from INFiLED are a central component of AVMS media technology. With the ICE training, a further step has been taken not only to use this technology, but also to understand it – from the power supply to perfect image display.
