Corona has gotten many event industry companies into trouble! We drew attention to ourselves with the Night of Light.
Since 10.03.2020, an entire branch of industry has effectively been deprived of its working basis. Any kind of large-scale events have been banned due to the COVID-19 crisis. Trade fairs, business events, conferences, congresses, concerts, festivals or theater performances – wherever people come together to experience performances or exchange views on relevant topics, events may only be held subject to extensive regulatory requirements. Even trade fairs and small events that were permitted were subject to necessary and strict hygiene regulations; this meant that events as a whole were no longer economically feasible. The “Nigh of Light” was a flaming appeal and cry for help to politicians to save the event industry.

All companies from the event industry as well as event locations (special event locations, event centers, convention centers, conference hotels and other venues such as theaters, philharmonic halls, concert halls, playhouses) throughout Germany illuminated their buildings or a representative building in their region or city with red lighting during the night from June 22 to 23, 2020 to draw attention to the dramatic situation in the event industry.
The event industry was on the red list of industries acutely threatened with extinction! A shining memorial and a flaming appeal from the event industry to save our industry, which needed real help instead of loan programs! We called for an industry dialog with politicians to find a way out of the crisis together!

Let us surprise you, what we bring to the “burning”. We urgently need to be heard and seen by politicians. Together we were strong and wanted to show that we exist. The ones who get up every day to make sure that events, trade fairs, conferences, online events and celebrations come to life with image, sound and light. Without us it would be grey instead of colourful, quiet and never loud and quite boring without a picture.
