By combining the LEDskin® frames with the beMatrix corner profile, an inside corner is easily created. beMatrix has also created a molded frame in which LED modules can be placed to create an outside corner. You can easily create the perfect inner or outer corners without unsightly gaps. LEDskin® again offers you maximum design freedom.

Exhibition systems at the Fondskongress: When high-finance meets high-tech

Efficiency meets brilliance: why modular LED solutions are unbeatable at congresses

Mannheim. The city of squares. But yesterday it was one thing above all: the hub of the financial world. The Fondskongress in Mannheim is something like the class reunion of the financial sector – only with less punch and more suits. Markets, returns, bulls and bears are discussed here. It’s loud, it’s busy, and there’s damn little space and time to set up.

The challenge: high-end optics in fast motion

A congress is not a traditional trade fair with days of set-up time. In Mannheim, every hour counts. At the same time, the demands of exhibitors – especially in the financial sector – are extremely high. A crooked edge or a flickering picture is as confidence-inspiring as an investment advisor hiding his money under the mattress.

Our solution to this dilemma yesterday was three different approaches that have one thing in common: They look like one piece, but have a modular structure.

Case Study 1: Fidelity – The art of the corner with Octawall and INFiLED

We realized a corner solution for Fidelity that is a small technical masterpiece of precision. The Octawall Pro system was used here, a modern frame system optimized for the seamless integration of LED modules.

The technology in detail: We have installed the INFiLED DB 2.6 here.

Pixel pitch: 2.6 mm. Why? Because the viewing distance at a congress is often only 2 meters. With a coarser pitch (e.g. 3.9 mm), the visitor would see the “fly screen effect”. At 2.6 mm, the image merges into a perfect surface.
Deep Black (DB): The INFiLED DB series uses special black LEDs and masking for extremely high contrasts. Black is really black here.
The corner solution: The exciting thing was the integration across the corner. Many LED walls leave an ugly gap here (the “Gap of Shame”). Thanks to the precise mechanics of the INFiLED modules and the accuracy of fit of the Octawall frame, we were able to create an edge that looks razor-sharp.

The result: a media wall that looks as if it is part of the architecture. No visible cables, no wobbly tripods. Just business.

Case Study 2 & 3: Goldman Sachs and UBS – beMatrix and LEDskin

At Goldman Sachs and UBS, we relied on a different kind of horsepower: the beMatrix frame system combined with LEDskin 2.5.

As a beMatrix LEDskin partner, our heart beats faster when we install this system. The principle: the LED module is not placed in front of the wall, it is the wall.

Integration: The modules (496 x 496 mm) are simply clicked into the system using the patented “B62” connectors.
Zero-Depth: The LED wall is flush with the printed panels on the rest of the wall. This creates the “clean chic” that designers love.
Cable management: The rear is openly accessible but hidden in the system frame. No tripping hazards for the CEO.

Modules with a 2.5 mm pixel pitch were also used here. Stock market prices and small print must be legible. Nothing is more embarrassing than an “8” that looks like a “0” due to a lack of resolution.

Why we love "System" (and you should too)

Some may think: “System construction? That’s Lego for grown-ups.” Yes, it is. And that’s exactly the genius of it. The superstructures drastically demonstrate the advantages:

1. sustainability (Green AV)

Sustainability is part of our DNA. We drive Tesla, Cupra and VW ID, use green electricity and prefer to repair rather than throw away. System exhibition stands are sustainable by definition. Reusability: Frames such as beMatrix or Octawall are used hundreds of times. Logistics: A disassembled frame system takes up a fraction of the space of bulky wooden walls in a truck. This saves CO2 and our economical trucks thank us for it. Less waste: no wood ends up in the container after the congress. LED into the case, frame into storage, fabric into recycling.

2. speed and stress reduction

“The customer should be able to sleep peacefully.” That is our credo. When we arrive with LEDskin, we know in advance that it will fit. The hole patterns are standardized. This means less stress for our technicians on site and the certainty for you that the wall will be up on time.

3. serviceability (if something does happen)

Electronics can fail. That is a law of nature. But with INFiLED and LEDskin, all components are front-serviceable or magnetically detached. If a module breaks down at Goldman Sachs, we don’t have to dismantle the stand. We can replace the module in 10 seconds using a suction lifter. The visitor usually doesn’t notice a thing.

And if the worst comes to the worst, we have our workshop in Potsdam with soldering robots. We repair pixel errors at chip level ourselves. Our rental equipment is therefore always well maintained.

Curved wall made of LEDskin® modules at Aircraft Interiors Expo

Curved LED wall with 210 LEDSkin® modules installed in Hamburg congress center

This impressive stand, built by our customer Lüco Internationaler Messebau GmbH for the Aircraft Interiors Expo was equipped with a high-resolution LED wall with LEDskin modules and the corresponding playback technology.

Panasonic presented the latest monitors in front of a high-resolution curved LED wall

This large, curved stand made of straight beMatrix frames and straight LEDskin® modules was built by stand constructor LÜCO Internationaler Messebau Nord GmbH. The design comes from Exhibitree. They designed this incredible 615 m² stand for Panasonic Europe at Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

By placing the straight frames next to each other at a slight angle, you create the effect as if the stand consists of curved frames. It just looks great like this. The illuminated LEDskin® wall was constructed entirely from LEDskin® with a 2.5mm pixel pitch.

This project is a very good example of the excellent cooperation between the stand builder, beMatrix as frame supplier and AVMS as LED expert and LEDskin®rental partner.

beMatrix exhibition stand with LED wall and suspended LED ring made of LEDskin® modules

This handsome booth was built largely of beMatrix frames and topped with an LED wall of LEDskin® modules supplemented. The LED wreath above the booth, visible from afar, was made from square and curved LEDskin® modules are built.

beMatrix LEDskin® enables quick assembly and disassembly and looks very tidy.

The MWC Barcelona is an annual trade fair around mobile communications since 1987 (except 2020). With over 100,000 visitors and more than 2,000 exhibitors, it is the largest in Europe. The organizer is the GSM Association. The fair attracts special public attention by presenting new smartphones or other technical innovations.

Our client, the Sensations World Wide trade fair construction agency, proves that a beautiful trade fair stand does not always have to be built traditionally and individually. Through the use of the beMatrix frame system and LEDskin® modules, precious raw materials, transport volumes and a shortened erection and dismantling time could be realized. Theoretically, the textile wall coverings could also be reused if the stand were to be rebuilt in the same form.

The LED wreath made of LEDskin®modules, showed logos and headlines. The LED wall made of LEDskin®modules ,served as a changing background for charts .

The square LEDskin® modules can be combined almost endlessly and allow you to play with shapes and mosaics.
