KUKA presented innovative multimedia robotics solutions at Automatica 2025.

At this year’s Automatica 2025 in Munich, KUKA presented itself with an impressive trade fair stand, which was designed and realized by Kohlhaas Messebau. The media technology equipment was provided by AVMS GmbH, which installed state-of-the-art technology such as LED banners, monitors and an LED floor. These elements impressively showcased KUKA’s robot solutions and provided visitors with an immersive trade fair experience.

automatica 2025 in Munich is the world’s leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics. It brings together all the key technologies of modern industrial production in one place – from robotics and industrial image processing to assembly and handling technology 1. The trade fair offers a platform for innovation, exchange and concrete solutions for the digital transformation in production.

As one of the leading suppliers in the field of robotics and automation, KUKA was once again a key exhibitor at automatica 2025. The company presented its latest developments in collaborative robotics, flexible manufacturing and smart automation solutions. The focus was particularly on applications for Industry 4.0 and human-robot collaboration.

The KUKA trade fair stand was designed by Kohlhaas Messebau and impressed with its modern, open design. AVMS GmbH was responsible for the media technology implementation, which included the installation of an LED floor just 1.9 cm thick, large LED banners and high-resolution monitors – a real highlight that impressively supported the presentation of the robot solutions.

Trusses, lighting, lots of media technology and, as a highlight, a 3D LED corner, at the IBA

We equipped this multimedia stand, which our customer Mattheis designed for the IBA trade fair, with trusses, the complete lighting of extensive media technology and an impressive 3D LED corner with LEDskin 2.5mm, as well as several high-resolution LED walls with LEDskin 1.5mm.

WP Bakery with impressive appearance and LED cinema at the largest trade fair for baking technology IBA

As the leading world trade fair since 1949, iba has been the global meeting place for experts in the baking industry on a unique scale and at the highest professional level. It is the platform for innovations and offers a complete overview of all new products on the market.

Here you will meet the most successful companies, from artisan bakeries to industrial solutions. But restaurateurs, café owners, food retailers, hotel specialists and caterers will also find an almost limitless and varied range of products at iba.

We were able to draw on the full range of media technology for WP Bakery and set up a 3D LED corner with anamorphic content and several high-resolution LED walls with control panels.

Lighting design with beautiful accent lighting

Light as a quality feature - lighting design with accent lighting for floors and exhibits

Together with our client, Standex GmbH, who designed the exhibition stand for Light & Building, we created a beautiful lighting design with accent lighting. With the help of trussing, lighting and media technology, we were able to create a pleasant atmosphere for visitors to the stand. The smart lighting design perfectly illuminated logos, claims and exhibits. The highlights of the exhibition stand were perfectly staged using clever light and dark zones. For a trade fair presentation an LED wall and an audio system were also installed.

Jung with beautiful trade fair architecture at the world's leading building technology trade fair Light & Building 2024 in Frankfurt

The modern home is intelligent, networked and therefore saves energy. In combination with alternative energy sources and efficient lighting solutions, emissions in the building sector can be drastically reduced. This will make a significant contribution to achieving the climate targets. 2,169 exhibitors presented the latest developments in building technology and trends for innovative lighting design at Light + Building in Frankfurt am Main from March 3 to 8, 2024.

Anyone who, like JUNG, has the control of light in their brand DNA, attaches particular importance to a professional lighting concept in the trade fair architecture.

The combination of evenly illuminated facades, accentuated areas and emotional media content ensures an impressive visitor experience.

However, a convincing lighting design with accent lighting also poses some challenges in terms of technical planning and, above all, fine-tuning when illuminating and calibrating on site.

Here are three aspects you should consider if you want to generate as much enthusiasm as our community project:

Find intelligent solutions: Develop a professional lighting concept that actively considers visual axes, visitor guidance and functional zones.
Use a smart mix of technology: Use different types of light and luminaires to create a flexible setting for staging your trade fair architecture. Use only calibrated media and LED technology to make your content look authentic and true to color.
Work on your solution together with experts: a convincing presentation can only be created with a foundation of experience and intuition.

Conclusion: The interplay of media technology and content as well as lighting design with accent lighting of the trade fair architecture creates an authentic sense of space.

We equipped this multimedia stand, which our customer Mattheis designed for the IBA trade fair, with trusses, the complete lighting of extensive media technology and a very cozy and at the same time impressive LED cinema with a three-sided LED wall with INFiLED DB 2.6mm.

For WP Bakery, we were able to draw on the full range of media technology and set up a beautiful LED cinema consisting of three sides of LED wall.

Transparent LED walls and smart lighting control give exhibition stand great long-distance effect

This airy stand, designed by our customer Fairnet for the GIFA trade fair, we equipped with Transparent LED modules from Nexnovo. In addition, the special backlighting was realized by AVMS GmbH. Thanks to the smart lighting control, the booth was visible from afar and stood out especially due to the color changes.

Foseco with impressive appearance at the largest trade fair for foundry technology GIFA 2023

GIFA (Foundry Trade Fair) is an international trade fair for foundry technology held in Düsseldorf since 1956. It takes place every four years. It is the world’s most important trade fair for the foundry sector. Besides foundry equipment and other machines and devices for foundry equipment, measuring devices are also exhibited

For Foseco, a manufacturer of foundry technology, we equipped this impressive booth with media and lighting technology. On the transparent LED walls from Nexnovo, different contents were shown, which were assigned to one color. To support the color effect of the content, correspondingly colored LED floodlights from Cameo were synchronously controlled. To do this, the media players sent a signal that commanded the lighting console to switch.

The long-distance effect of the booth was phenomenal.

Media technology with LED cube, LED wall and LED strips provides a great long-distance effect

Together with our customer S&P, who designed the booth for interpack, we created an eye-catcher with the help of traverses, IT and media technology. Various monitors in different sizes, an LED cube and an LED wall with a wide LED strip across the corner were used to display logos, claims and additional information.

Weber Maschinenbau presents cutting and packaging machines with a lot of media technology and LED

When the global packaging industry meets in Düsseldorf, when innovations along the entire value chain are presented and the top trends are discussed, then it is interpack.

Several LED walls showed information and films about the functions of the cutting and packaging machines. At the demo points, consultants used displays and touch monitors of nearly all sizes. Tablets were used at the information counters.

Lighting design and smart media technology perfectly complement the technical exhibits

Together with our customer mac , who designed the booth for Interalpin, we created a grandiose and informative ambience with the help of trusses, lighting, IT and media technology. The smart lighting design perfectly illuminated logos, claims and exhibits. Through clever light and dark zones, the highlights of the booth were thus very well staged. Various monitors and LED walls in different sizes provided the desired additional information.

Doppelmayr with a classy stand appearance at the world's leading trade fair for alpine technologies Interalpin 2023 in Innsbruck

After a four-year break, the 24th edition of Interalpin underlined its unbroken global strength and appeal as the world’s leading trade show. For three days, the Alpine metropolis of Innsbruck became the center of the ropeway and alpine technology industry for more than 35,000 trade visitors from all corners of the globe.

For Doppelmayr, a leading manufacturer of ropeways, we equipped this very impressive booth with media technology and lighting. For this purpose, the ceiling was first equipped with over 300m of trusses to accommodate the numerous spotlights in the form of spots and floodlights.

Several LED walls showed information and films about the latest ropeway technology. At the demo points, consultants used displays and touch monitors of nearly all sizes. Tablets were used at the information counters.

We were able to realize an interactive special construction in the form of a virtual cabin on an LED wall. This demonstrated how the access control of security doors reacts to unexpected obstacles such as skis or ski poles. For this purpose, sensor signals were used to control actuators by means of AI-controlled software.

Competent technicians took care of the technology of the numerous demo points and LED walls, so that the exhibitor could concentrate on his customers.

Livestream from the workshop onto an LED wall from the Kjellberg stand at Euroblech

To avoid having to transport the plasma cutting machine, which weighs several tons, to the trade fair stand, a live stream from the factory hall in Finsterwalde was streamed directly to exhibitor Kjellberg’s stand. An LED wall showed the employee’s presentation and a high-quality sound system ensured good intelligibility.

The world’s largest technology trade fair for sheet metal working attracts a high-caliber specialist audience from all over the world. EuroBLECH is aimed at sheet metal working specialists from all management levels, both in small and medium-sized companies as well as large corporations.

The exhibitor Kjellberg demonstrated its expertise in the field of plasma welding. A number of small machines and accessories were also on display at the stand. Streaming technology was used for the demonstration:“Plasma cutting at our trade fair stand & live transmission from our Competence Center Plasma 4.0 in Finsterwalde“.

A large plasma welding machine was presented via video link from the workshop in Finsterwalde. We provided the two moderators and the colleague with the appropriate communication technology.

The cutting process could be followed very well on a 4x2m LED wall made of INFiLED DB 2.6mm. In addition, the presentation always attracted the attention of visitors.

The stand was also equipped with trusses, lighting, sound systems, information displays and feeders and was supervised during the trade fair.

Financial support for trade fair exhibitors

Financial support for trade fair exhibitors as of August 2021

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many trade fairs and exhibitions were cancelled. As a result, economic suffering has been caused worldwide.

For many companies, however, this is set to change with immediate effect. This is a big step back towards normality.

From 2 August 2021, small and medium-sized enterprises will receive financial support from the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi) to provide a grant programme for trade fair stand rental and stand construction costs. Each exhibitor can apply for a maximum of 12,500 euros per exhibition.

The list of eligible activities and the funding requirements can be found on the website of the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control.
